Making a difference

_DL_0269TEST.jpg

We know these are extraordinary times for everyone. Managing through these difficult times, more than ever means that taking care of each other, our families, and our child care centers are our top priority.

The coronavirus has forever changed the way we work and interact with each other, and to date, most cases are still being heard through an electronic process. The good news is some courts have begun to have in-person hearings again,

Like most businesses we have also adopted a work from home (WFH) policy. However, by using videoconferencing and other technologies we are able to support our clients with their legal needs. We will provide you the necessary legal support in child-related cases that involve family law, adoption law, dependency/foster care law and child custody issues.

We also aggressively represent child-care owners throughout the State of Florida, in administrative Class I and Class II violations and corresponding contract issues with the ELC.

Respectfully,

My Personal Views

Helping to create "Forever Families."

How I see things

If everyone were raised in happy and nurturing homes, our world would without a doubt be a better place. At a very early age love and a sense of belonging starts at home. I believe that if our children were treated with love, we would have far less children in foster care, US divorce and crime rates would be lower, sex trafficking would be significantly reduced and people would be emotionally stronger.

Whatever legal support we provide, keeping the child’s best interest in mind must always remain centerstage. Whether it’s addressing a Class-I or II violation, matrimonial dispute, foster care dependency case or any other legal matter, the child’s well-being is a primary objective.

I stress to my clients the importance of having children feel loved by their parents and caregivers and never place innocent lives in damaging situations. Not surprisingly, I am totally against parental alienation and opine that the law must change to implement more severe consequences for parents who do this.

Considering the above, I assist my clients in focusing on the short and long term needs of children, during a time when judgement is typically blurred by anger and/or broken hearts and dreams.

While I address critical family legal matters, I also practice family and adoption law because it enables me to make a difference in people's lives by helping to create “forever families”; or in divorce and paternity cases drive a commitment to preserve family values as much as possible.

It represents life, stability, and the chance to provide a new beginning to an innocent child. It represents the chance for unconditional love, emotional protection, and hope.

In The Child's Best Interest

Many divorces involve more than figuring out which spouse or partner gets what property and if and how much one spouse must pay to the other in alimony or child support. Often, divorcing parents have disagreements about who should have custody of their children, and like many other divorce issues, it's usually up to the court to settle the dispute.

Ultimately custody decisions are based on which custody arrangements best serve the interests of the child. A determination of what's best for any particular child requires a case-by-case examination of both the needs of the child and the advantages presented by those seeking custody. Our firm has the experience to help determine what is ultimately in the best interest of a child. We can help you navigate the court system, which often requires indept knowledge of procedures and approaches to ensure that ultimately the child suffers the least amount of trauma.
